Attention to all Artists

26 July, 2009 (18:01) | Uncategorized | No comments

Attention to all Artists in the North East Ohio Territory.  Apollonova is currently looking for artist to join the group.  The applicant must have reliable mode of transportation, available to attend some meetings (normally held on Sunday) and be able to stay in contact via email, for this is the way most information and discussions occur.  Anyone interested can contact the website or myself at Hill_johns@yahoo.com.  Good Luck to those who are interested

Sayonara to a vital piece of our collective

26 July, 2009 (17:47) | Artists | No comments

Beth Ciborek has decided the time has come for her to break away from the group.  Beth has been a vital and admired part of Apollonova for a great while now.  Her style is in a league of its own, strong, organic and bringing a beautiful piece to the almalgamation.  Beth, we will miss you and hope only for the best in your future adventures.

Its been sometime

Hello to all who follow or those who are new to the site.  It has been a busy couple months and unfourtunately the website sat on the backburner on low, so here is what has been going on.  Will’s solo show went great, awesome piece.  Beth’s solo show was outstanding, never have I seen a style consistancy span, without variation, as long as her has. We have had three ArtTech shows since the last entry, the first two were inside and the third was on the rooftop, all went as well as one could hope.  We were invited by Akrona Art Gallery and the Akron Art Museum to participate in Special events, I will give details on those later.  And last but not least The GoodWill show, the bands brought the house down and the art was exactly where it should have been for the show, a big thank you goes out to all of you who come out to the shows and support our ventures. Until next time, peace.

Arttech III

4 March, 2009 (18:28) | News | No comments

Letting everyone know the latest installment of Art Tech went extremely well. Unfourtunatly we were short on members but the energy of the night was high and unbelievably contagious.  We created three beautiful pieces to raffle of to the energetic crowd. The music provided could not have been better, Dj was spinning everthing from LAMB and DJ Shadow to Massive Attack, cant wait to hear what he spins next time. Art Tech II started the snowball, III has kept it rolling and we are hoping it keeps growing.  Thank you to all of you who came out and supported the group.  Keep an eye on the website for updates on members and shows.

“I don’t know how many of you got a chance to attend this event but if you did not, you really missed out. Apollonova is a collective of some extremely talented artists. This was an experience unlike any other. The crew did three total paintings that night and raffled them off. For a mere $5, you had the chance to take home some serious local talent. And if you were lucky enough to be drawn for the third painting, the group made a painting based upon a theme that you provided. It’s like having your own private art troupe. So if you missed out, seek out Apollonova on the web to be clued in to the next event. It is a truly unique and thoroughly enjoyable experience not be missed. Hope to see you there.”
