Art is limitless. It could be as simple as dropping a pin to the floor
just to pause, just to “hear” how it sounds. It is an experimentation of
life’s processes and a reaction to an individual’s perception of their
environment.
While speaking of art, we often hear the word: creativity. I do not
believe that creativity is selective to a particular human being.
Ultimately, I think that creativity is being inspired by a negative or
positive force and then reacting to it intelligently (meaning with a
specific purpose) or naturally (effortlessly). This is something anyone
could harness, despite physical or mental strength and capability.
Personally, I am interested in a wide spectrum of subject matter: the
nature of life’s operating mechanisms/ how things work, dreams, self
perception, the supernatural vs. reality, life and death, monogamy versus
instinctual sexual needs, the list could go on. I am constantly stimulating
my self with information by digging into the core of my existence among
life’s infinitely curious entity. I cannot focus on one specific idea or
plan because there are many possibilities. Each day I try to express my
self through some form of creation. Sometimes I write out my emotions,
feelings, or views about a particular subject matter, other times I just
want to start painting without a specific intention. Regardless of whether
or not it is going to be a genius idea or not, I tend to focus on the outlet
of expression. And for me, that is a combination of a number of different
elements.
Creating can be a lot like the scientific method…full of trial and
error experiments, in search for the best solution, and then sometimes you
get lucky and “just happen to” stumble upon on idea and without any question
of what is right or wrong it makes sense.
