07/22/07 Apollonova Arts Fest
In July, 2007, to coincide with the grand opening of the new Akron Art Museum, Apollonova staged a 5-day arts festival at the Mocha Maiden in downtown Akron. This unprecedented event, headed up by artist Ursula Rauh, included art, music, poetry, a culinary demonstration, interpretive dance, and much, much more. Apollonova artists painted alongside and behind performers, creating a colorful miasma of images, sound, and beauty. The event was a great success for Apollonova and for Akron artists. We hope to make the event an annual gala, showcasing our favorite people in the Akron area.
