Welcome Jay and Kam!
Please look in our “Events” section for the results of our 7 Hour Painting Collaboration. It was very successful and we look forward to doing it again soon! Don’t forget to click on the link to see the time-lapse video by Apollonova friend, Johnny Baer.
In the past month, Apollonova has added Zak Dye to the group. We are happy to have him with us. His page will have more info soon.
Please check out the photos from our latest Icehouse show, “Bird on a Wire”. More photos will be posted soon so keep an eye out!
Todd Volkmer from City Art Gallery in Cuyahoga Falls asked Apollonova to help paint a mural for the exterior of the gallery. Our own James Thomas came up with the basic design that we all followed. It is based on the area surrounding the gallery including the Cuyahoga River and Falls River Square. We worked along side City Art resident artists such as Ron White, Todd V., and Rebecca Urbanski. Be sure to check out the mural when you’re in the area!
We are pleased to announce that we will be showing again at the Icehouse on Saturday, Sept. 6th 2008. We will be a part of the Northside Art Walk. Please check back soon for more details.
On September 03, 2008, Apollonova will be holding a mandatory meeting. Our goal is to organize and restructure. We will be going over responsibilities and focusing our sights on the year ahead.
Apollonova is pleased to announce that John Hill was chosen to join the group. He has already participated in a few live demos, and will soon take part in the group shows.
It is also with great pleasure that we re-introduce Rebecca Urbanski as an active member. Many of you are familiar with her work and her previous participation with the group. We look forward to working with her again.
Saturday, June 7th, Apollonova member, Ashley Limbach, had an opening at the Icehouse in Akron. The work displayed her versatility as an artist, showing realism as well as her abstracted figures. Congrats to Ashley on a great turn-out.
