APOLLO - Greek mythology - The god of prophecy, music, medicine, and poetry, sometimes identified with the sun.

NOVA - A star that ejects some of its material in the form of a cloud and become more luminous in the process.

APOLLONOVA is a collective of professional artists working mainly in the Akron, Ohio area.

We came together to provide inspiration and support for ourselves and other artists. We intend to grow the collective into a full artist promotion company, arranging shows, contacting galleries, and providing merchandise support.

The name comes from two linked ideas. Apollo, the Greek god of inspiration and the sun, was also considered a patron of the arts. A nova is a star that, while dying and spinning off its matter into space, glows brightly and creates new and beautiful things.

We create art, hurling it out into the world, leaving beauty in its wake, ever moving onward to the next idea or project. We also know that inspiration doesn't always come on its own, sometimes you have to look to your friends, or the gods, or the sky for that little glimmering light.

Please keep us bookmarked, and check back often, as we will be continually evolving and expanding.

About Our Prints

Prints are now for sale on Apollonova! If you like a piece of art on our site, but the original is sold or too expensive for your taste, you can purchase a quality print of the work.

All of our prints are on premium quality matte, watercolor, or glossy photo paper, printed with Epson UltraChrome K3 inks. These inks are water-resistant, bright, and durable. If properly cared for, these prints will look fresh and new for over 90 years.

Many of our prints are signed and numbered by the artists, matted and framed. Shipping costs are included in the cost of the print.

Prints on Apollonova will be at a discount through the end of 2006! We want to make sure that people can get affordable, attractive presents for the holidays. Now is the time to invest in art and the community!
